Home Sweet Home

7:40 PM
After years of wondering, living the "dorm life", renting apartments for a total of 6 years, we finally have a house; a home of our own!  We moved to Charlotte last June from our home of 4 years in Fort Worth.  It was extremely hard leaving our close friends and family and I have to say that I was a bit nauseated while driving into town that first night.  However it was nice to stay with family when we first arrived!  We eventually found an apartment and moved in for 13, 4 months!  Even though we had looked at houses since we had arrived, we became avid "house hunters" after the first of the year.  By the end of January we had both agreed that we had found the one for us.  The 2 story, 3 bedroom/2.5 bath, Charleston-style home had our names written all over it.  We were sold and began the paper work immediately.  We closed on the 28th and moved in March 1st, our 5th anniversary... in the snow!  Yeah, and we thought Texas had crazy weather!  If you don't believe me, here's proof...

And yes... I'm in a short sleeve shirt!  Obsurd, I know.  However, we were so excited we would have moved come hail or high water... (which are about the only two types of weather conditions we haven't experienced while moving.)  All for this beauty with the sold sign in front.

But before this sign was posted there was a lot of paperwork that went into the operation including several walk-throughs.  Once when we were "just looking" and two after we put in an offer.  It's fun to look back at these pictures... so much to reminisce!  The other two homes were under contract and have now been sold as well.  And thankfully, we love our neighbors!  Here are a few pictures to give you a tour of the house!  If you have any brilliant ideas that come to mind, please post!  We would love to hear from you!
